Olympics
Another 3 medal day for Canada. Do you know who won medals today? Are you keeping track of the medals won by Canada and your country in your scrapbook? You are welcome to cut articles and pictures about Canadian Olympians, your chosen Canadian Olympian and your country from the newspaper. Just make sure everyone has read before you cut.
Canada's Kaitlyn Lawes and Canada's John Morris hold the Canada flag on the podium after winning the gold medal in mixed curling at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games on February 13, 2018.
Math
We had lots of fun today flying to different destinations across the globe. Make sure you read instructions carefully. Everyone knows how to change from 24 to 12 hour clock, but not everyone got the action task correct. We will finish the "On Your Own" questions tomorrow.

Learning Skills
We spent a considerable amount of time this afternoon preparing for our student led conferences. Make sure you include an explanation on your sticky note. It will help you remember what to say to your parents. You must finish tomorrow morning. We will have a quick practice before the Ash Wednesday service in the afternoon.

Literacy
Yesterday we finished our novel. Did you like the ending? We have a couple of culminating activities to do after the Olympics.

Reminders:

  • Ash Wednesday service at 2:00 pm at St. Nicholas.
  • Flag day on Thursday, wear RED
  • Bring a stuffed dog on Friday for Chinese New Year
  • Friday is also beach day. We are watching "The Little Mermaid". Wear fun summer clothes. No bathing suits (hee, hee)
  • Book Fair next week starting on Tuesday
