  • spider art
  • reading test

Drama
We had lots of fun presenting tableaus on Friday. Check out the photos when you come into the classroom on Monday. Some terrific facial expressions.

Science
We had a bit of time to work on our Power Point presentations. If you'd like to work on your Power Point at home, bring a memory stick. Remember, you can access your files at home if you go through your e-mail (studentnumber@ldcsb.org)
Success Criteria:
Food Web Assignment / Oral Presentation
Slide 1 - Photograph of habitat
Slide 2 - Map showing location of habitat
Slide 3 - Food Web
- Identify living things as producers or consumers (herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, scavenger, decomposer)
Slide 4 - 1 FOOD CHAIN in web
Slide 5 - Adaptations of one living thing in food web
Slide 6... - Any other interesting facts.

The slide show will have PHOTOGRAPHS with only a title on each page. You will give the information as you speak to the class. You may write out a "script" to help you learn the information part of your presentation.

We will be studying adaptations this week. You will have at least 4 more periods at school to work on your slide show. We will be learning about adding animations next week.  The due date is November 3rd.

This slide show will assess Media, Science and Oral Communication.

Word Study
12 students completed their practice activities and 12 students did not. You must complete the practice each evening. The BLIND SORT is the most important practice.

Reminders:
  • Fall Fun Fair this week if you'd like to participate.
  • Only two students left to submit Halloween bowling permission form and money.
  • Access all the wonderful sites on VLE using your e-mail address (see above). Go to the Board website (LDCSB) and scroll down to the bottom and click VLE. Type in your e-mail address. Your password is the password you use at school to get into the computer. You may have to do the e-mail twice.
  • PLEASE RETURN BLUE INFORMATION FORM WITH ANY CHANGES ON MONDAY!
