Literacy
We will review the most important events in the story "Trick or Treat". Still some difficulty deciding on the most important ideas and making the summary flow with transition words.

Practice your words. Do your blind sort tonight.

Math
Everyone breezed through the math lesson today. Patterning test tomorrow. Make sure you look questions you did incorrectly and redo them. Use the pink pages a guides and lessons from Nelson Math. Lots of review questions were posted last night, so review yesterday's post.

Science
Everyone worked INDEPENDENTLY to get a good start on their food webs. If you have some time, look up producers, herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, scavengers and decomposers in your chosen habitat. Narrow your focus for your food web e.g. not just "rainforest" Amazon Rainforest, not just grasslands, the African Savanna.

Learning Skills
Today we talked about INDEPENDENT WORK. This learning skills includes:

  • Using feedback to improve work
  • Staying focused
  • Not being distracted by people or objects
  • Remaining on task WITHOUT teacher supervision
  • Following instructions
  • Knowing what do do when you finish your work
