Science
We see examples of how matter behaves in the world around us. How does the alcohol in a thermometer show us the temperature? What happens to the particles of alcohol when they absorb heat?
What happens to power line in the summer? winter?
The key idea to remember is matter EXPANDS when it ABSORBS heat and CONTRACTS when it RELEASES heat. The next investigation will demonstrate why matter absorbs and releases heat.

Math
Today we played some math games to review the different kinds of division problems. Sharing, grouping and comparing numbers. Here are some examples:

Please complete the first two pages of your division booklet. For extra division practice, solve the above problems problems.
